Mark Buse
Rechtsanwalt and Attorney-at-Law (New York)Mark advises clients on cross-border commercial and corporate law matters between Germany and Italy. He studied law at the University of Freiburg, where he graduated top of his class and was awarded the Konrad-Hesse Prize. After completing his legal clerkship with a stay, among others, at the German Federal Constitutional Court, in 2023, he earned his Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Harvard Law School. Mark is admitted to practice law in Germany and the State of New York and is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Law at the University of Freiburg. He joined the firm in 2025.

2018–2020: Legal clerkship (Referendariat) of the state of Baden-Wurttemberg with stays, inter alia, at the law firm of one of 40 lawyers admitted to the Federal Court of Justice (Bundesgerichtshof), Germany’s highest court of civil and criminal jurisdiction, and at the German Constitutional Court (Bundesverfassungsgericht)
2021: Second State Examination in Law in Stuttgart (2nd out of 635 candidates) and admission to the German Bar
2022–2023: Master of Laws (LL.M.) at the Harvard Law School (Dean’s Scholar Prize in International Law)
Since 2023: Ph.D. candidate at the University of Freiburg under the supervision of Professor Andreas Voßkuhle, former President of the German Constitutional Court
2024: Admitted to the New York State Bar
2024: Research stay at the Harvard Law School funded by a research grant of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD)
